Project Regional Animal Protection Centre

Due to the current situation of APAD in his new installations –as a result of the cooperation of APAD and the municipal administration Denia- the project of an animal home in Ptda. Caragusos for the regional administrative area was excluded completely.

Apart, APAD has come to the conclusion that the time period since the beginning of the project in the year 2002 to May 2010 is too excessive. We never have received a clear answer on the part of the authorities why the project didn't make progress.

At least, APAD has found the answer to this question: as it can be seen in the plans for the future bypass which will be built by the development department (execution date isn't known yet), the access road goes directly through the properties purchased by APAD a long time ago; so that the possibility to build an animal home there has got completely impossible.

The current situation was evaluated by the board of directors of APAD and the logical consequence was to give up the project. Besides, the new animal home with his installations, which was completed in April 2010 by the town hall Denia and is managed by APAD, fulfils the necessary requirements to render our service as best as possible for the district Denia.

But nevertheless, APAD will continue to fight for the welfare of animals in general and dogs in particular, and won't give up this way.
